When former Super Bowl MVP Deion Branch switched to the Seattle Seahawks, Matt Hasselbeck must have been thrilled to have a new receiver. On the other side, the Patriots had an empty wide receiver spot.

An article (Sept. 12) sent different messages to many people because of all the fans of different teams. Fans of the Patriots could feel angry compared to fans of the Seahawks, who are probably very excited. I’m excited, because I have been a very big fan of the Seahawks for a good amount of time.

I believe Mike Holmgren made a good choice in the trade of Deion Branch. On the other side, it wasn’t really a good choice for the Patriots to have traded him. They know that giving away such a valuable player is going to build up the Seahawks’ offensive team. It makes me happier than ever to know the Super Bowl MVP for the Patriots is signing to my team. This decision is the New England Patriots’ loss and the Seattle Seahawks’ gain.

I was born on the outskirts of Seattle, Wash., and there I became a big fan of the Seahawks and Mariners. This trade is as huge for the Seahawks as it was when they traded for Hasselbeck. I want to say, “congratulations Mike Holmgren for this outstanding trade for Deion Branch!” I am sorry the Patriots had to move on, but I like the idea of him playing for the Seahawks because I am a huge fan.
