FARMINGTON – Linwood R. Meader Sr., 90, of Ethel Walton Apartments, Farmington, died of natural causes on Friday morning, Nov. 10, at his home.

He was born on May 14, 1916, in Vienna, the son of Charles L. and Annie (Bigelow) Meader.

He received his education in Vienna schools and later was employed at Maine Dowell and Farmington Shoe.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards, especially cribbage.

He is survived by four sons, Linwood R. Meader Jr. and his wife, Mary, of Vienna, George H. Meader and his wife, Carrie, of Vienna, Glendon H. Meader and his wife, Marchelle, of Farmington, and Kenneth L. Meader of Vienna; three brothers, Felman O. Meader of Michigan, Leon Meader of Vienna, and Archie O. Meader of Chesterville; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Richard C. Meader; and three brothers, Norman, Leslie “Les,” and Kenny Meader.
