BRUNSWICK – Neal W. Hardy, 36, of the Millay Road, Bowdoinham, died Sunday, Nov. 5, in Brunswick.
He was born in Portland, July 11, 1970, the son of Edmund Hardy, M.D. and Joan Poland Hardy.
He graduated from Falmouth High School, Class of 1988 and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla.
He married Nichola Hartford in Cape Elizabeth on Oct. 3, 2004.
He enjoyed flying, music, playing guitar, crossword puzzles and gardening, and was a dedicated recycler. He was an accomplished extemporaneous speaker, a gifted storyteller, and was also a fan of the Boston Red Sox.
He is survived by his wife, of Brunswick; three stepsons, Zakkary, Nicholas and Jacob Morin of Brunswick; his mother of Scarborough; two sisters, Dawn Ham and her husband, Matthew, of Cape Elizabeth, and Gretchen Slover, her husband, Daryn, and their son, Ellis, of Lewiston; a brother, David Hardy, his wife, Carmela, and their son, Luca of Augusta; his family of origin, Laura Sawyer of Petaluma, Calif., and his grandmother, Pearl Sawyer of Auburn; and several aunts and uncles. He is also survived by his sheltie princess, Sabrina.
