RUMFORD – Rumford Area Quilters will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 13, at the Rumford United Methodist Church, Linnell Street. In addition to the usual show and tell, members will share Christmas quilting ideas. Part four of the mystery quilt will be distributed and explained. All area quilters are invited. MEXICO – A professional photographer will show the correct way to take better pictures with any type of camera. Crystal Treadwell will teach a photography class on Mondays for four weeks from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 13 through Dec. 4 at Region 9 Learning Center. Tuition is $20 and students must have their own camera and know how to use it.
Story hour
MEXICO – Preschool story and craft hour for all children ages 2 to 5 will feature “window” stories when they meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, at Mexico Public Library. Stories to be read include “The Hello, Goodbye Window,” “Louie,” “Sophie’s Window” and “The Popcorn Shop.” Puppets will be the craft for the day. For more information, call the library at 364-3281.
