SOUTH HAMILTON, Mass. – Charlie Cummings scored the game’s only goal as Hebron edged Marianapolis Prep 1-0 in quarterfinal action of the New England Class C soccer tournament.

Will Sorkin turned away five shots in net to preserve the shutout. Hebron outshot Marianapolis 15-5 and had just enough accuracy to seal the win. Hebron will now advance to the semifinal round on Saturday afternoon.

Hebron 2, Brewster 1

BREWSTER, N.Y. – Jasmine Webber netted a goal in overtime to lift Hebron to a 2-1 victory over Brewster Academy in New England Class C tournament action Wednesday.

Kailey Bubier also tallied for Hebron, tying the contest after Brewster took a 1-0 advantage early on. Bubier’s goal came 10 minutes into the second period. Kate Buesser tallied the lone goal for Brewster. The Lumberjacks will now face off against No. 5 seed Holderness on Saturday at the Dexter and Southfield School in Brookline, Mass.
