WEST PARIS – Women of the West Paris Universalist Church are making preparations for the 100th chicken pie supper. It is a tradition that began the first year of the church. The supper has always been held on the Thursday before Thanksgiving.

This year will be no different – the supper will be served starting at 5:30 p.m. today.

But this year the tables will have linen tablecloths and dessert will be cream cakes served on pedestal plates, as was done at the early suppers.

Tickets will go on sale at 4:30. They are $7 for adults; $3, children under 12. The menu will include chicken pie, squash, peas, potato, cranberry sauce, rolls and cream cakes.

There will also be some sale items from the church fair in the ladies parlor preceding the supper.
