Topsham – Steven D. O’Neal, 47, of Lewiston Road, Topsham, died at his home with his family by his side on Wednesday, Nov. 15, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on Aug. 1, 1959, a son of Duane and Isabelle (Brewer) O’Neal. After graduating high school he joined the U.S. Air Force as a firefighter. He was the former owner of Portraits Plus and was recently working for the Brunswick Naval Air Base. On Aug. 8, 1987, he married the former Pauline Warren. He was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church in Topsham. He loved photography and showing off his horse Commander.

He also was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing.

He leaves his wife of 19 years, Pauline O’Neal of Topsham; his father, Duane O’Neal of Mississippi; his mother, Isabelle O’Neal of Lisbon Falls; two sons, Steven and Ryan O’Neal of Topsham; three step-children, Christine Estes of Florida, Mark Judd, and his companion, Melissa Skofield, of Richmond and Jeremy Judd, and his companion, Melanie Ayotte, of Mechanic Falls; five grandchildren; two brothers, Joe O’Neal of Mississippi and Michael O’Neal, and his wife, Jeanna, of Colorado; a sister, Melissa Bullock, and husband, John, of Mississippi; two stepbrothers, Nick Esztergalyos and Jerry Lord, and wife, Michele, all of Mississippi; a step-sister, Jackie Haines, and husband, Monty, of Bowdoinham; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by three sisters, Connie O’Neal, Danielle O’Neal and Natalie O’Neal.
