Fifty-one first-year students at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pa., have been named Klein Scholars, among them Jessica Moser. A graduate of Poland Regional High School, she is the daughter of Alison Soule Moser of Poland and Mathew Thomas Moser of New Gloucester.
The Klein Scholar Program recognizes students who have demonstrated excellence in a challenging high school curriculum and have contributed to their school and community in significant and positive ways. The scholarship is for $5,000 a year and may be renewed for up to eight semesters of study.
Moser also participated in the Habitat of Humanity workshop in the fall “Putting it Together” community service program.
The PIT program builds a model with the incoming first-year students to demonstrate one way to develop and execute public served projects at the college and in Lancaster County. The workshop places students with the Lancaster branch of the organization to help renovate a home and learn other essential skills in restoring a house.
