On Saturday, school buses parked at Shaw’s Supermarkets in Lewiston and Auburn were packed with food donated by shoppers, who also gave cash. In all, the pantry raised $2,500.
The money will be used to buy more food for the Good Shepherd Food Bank in Auburn, said organizer Mary Ellingwood. The pantry feeds between 250 and 300 families each week. Those interested in donating food or money can call 777-8863.
