There ought to be a law against recorded political telephone calls. Those calls are a nuisance and interrupt a person, day and night. I don’t need Barbara Bush, Bill Clinton, George Mitchell, Olympia Snowe or any other person asking me to vote for their candidate. I read the daily paper and watch the news every day, so I know pretty much what is going on.
I would hang up my phone on all those calls, but then, when I picked up the phone to use it again, that recording would still be going. I realize those calls are probably only a minute or so long, but what if I had an emergency in my home at that moment? I wouldn’t be able to call out. And while that recording is playing, my phone is busy so I cannot get any other incoming calls.
After telling others about my gripe, I find that I’m not the only one angry about those calls. And I have my name on the “no call” list, so why was I receiving those political calls?
