After having a week to digest the results of our recent statewide elections, I have come to the realization that there are more voters in this state who benefit from the high tax structure than those who do not.
Those of who pay taxes, and are either not on public assistance or employed directly or indirectly by entities which benefit from Maine’s oppressive tax structure, are obviously in the minority.
Maybe that is why the state loses so many of young people to more tax-friendly states.
After all, they have about 49 to chose from. Very sad.
