LEWISTON – A surprise party was held recently for Robert “Porky” and Jeannette Boulet of Lewiston, on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. The event was planned by their family and was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Lewiston.
The hall was decorated in gold with many black and white wedding pictures. Andy Chaloux was the toastmaster and Lucille Biron was the singer.
Mr. Boulet and the former Jeannette Asselin were married on Sept. 15, 1956, at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Lewiston.
They have two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Boulet and Mr. and Mrs. Greg Boulet, and two grandchildren, Bradley and Maxwell.
Mrs. Boulet was a hairdresser and is a member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish.
Mr. Boulet was co-owner of the Seafood Market in Lewiston and co-owner of Maine Wiring Inc. He was also a race horse owner and rode horses. He is also a member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish.
Original wedding attendants present were Rita Chaloux, Andy Chaloux, Jean Cote and Richard Boulet.
