LEWISTON – Board Chairman Dr. Edward Z. Walworth has announced that Larry Pelletier and Larry Gilbert have joined the governing body of the Maine Music Society. “We heartily welcome the two Larrys to our board and know that we shall benefit from their wisdom and experience in the good work of the Maine Music Society,” Walworth said.

With 34 years in banking and trust industries and presently a certified financial planner with TD BankNorth, Pelletier has focused on developing and maintaining client relationships.

He is on the Finance Committee for the United Way of Androscoggin County and also serves on the Funds Development Committees of the Good Shepherd Food Bank and Rural Community Action Ministry.

He attended Gordon College in Wenham, Mass., and graduated from the College of Financial Planning in 1987. He also studied at the Cannon Trust School and the Cannon Advanced Trust Administration School. A native of Lewiston, Pelletier and his family reside in Falmouth.

Gilbert, PE, is manager in charge of special projects at Verso Paper in Jay. He works in information technology and has a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Tulane University in New Orleans, La., as well as a master of business administration from Thomas College.

He has served on the board of trustees of the Washburn-Norlands Foundation and sings baritone in the Androscoggin Chorale. He and his family reside in Auburn.

The Maine Music Society was created in 1991 to support the artistic and educational activities of the Maine Chamber Ensemble and the Androscoggin Chorale. Based in Lewiston and serving the greater Lewiston/Auburn area, the organization seeks to connect the community with the world of music.
