BERLIN, N.H. – Yolande G. Rancourt, 78, of 3 Brook Road, Gorham, N.H., passed away Sunday, Nov. 19, at Androscoggin Valley Hospital.

She was born in Berlin on July 3, 1928, to Albert and Valerie (Gilbert) Fisette and shortly thereafter moved to Cascade Hill, Gorham.

She was a member of St. Benedict Parish in Cascade and graduated from the parish school. She attended Notre Dame High School. She married Robert J. Rancourt on Nov. 15, 1947 at St. Benedict Church.

She and Bob moved to Connecticut in 1949, where they made their home for the next 40 years. She worked many years at the Hamilton Standard Co. and the Stanadyne Corp. in Windsor, Conn. She also traveled extensively with her husband, visiting all the lower 48 states including, Hawaii, Alaska, Canada and Mexico, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She was also an avid card player. In 1987, she and Bob returned to New Hampshire (Gorham) to enjoy their retirement.

The family includes her husband of 59 years, Robert J. Rancourt; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews and several cousins.

She was predeceased by her parents; and two sisters, Charlotte Lavoie and Lucille Malasky.
