PITTSFIELD (AP) – The body of a man found hanging from a tree Wednesday morning was identified as that of a missing Aroostook County truck driver whose empty tractor-trailer was found in the area earlier this month.

A hunter found the body of Clark MacDonald, 42, of Oakfield, off the Barney Cianchette Road, according to Department of Public Safety spokesman Stephen McCausland.

A truck belonging to MacDonald was found abandoned more than two weeks ago with the keys in the ignition and some of his clothing and cell phone in the cab.
