I certainly can understand why there are so many accidents in the Twin Cities. Mainly because of driver inattention and carelessness. People have no regards for others that they are supposed to share the roadway with. Bicyclists ride on the sidewalks, and go in the opposite direction they are supposed to without lights on their bicycle after dark.

The vast majority of people feel they must exceed the posted speed limit by 20-30 mph. They talk on cell phones while driving instead of pulling over to talk; this also creates a hazard on the roadway, as they also feel the need for driving extremely fast through parking lots. And most people do not realize that driving is a privilege, not a luxury under any circumstances.

Most people need to start paying attention to their driving and less attention to their personal lives, and also be aware of at least what’s going on at the moment, and their current situation as well.
