EPPING, N.H. (AP) – Two years after a truck filled with 3,000 gallons of heating oil disappeared from an Epping lot, an Exeter man is under arrest.

Jerome Stapleford, 50, is accused of stealing the bright yellow truck from the Buxton Oil Co. lot in November 2004. Police say the break in the case came when pieces of the truck turned up in Chelmsford, Mass.

The loss of one truck from a fleet of 20 took its toll on Buxton’s employees, who worked overtime to keep operations running that winter.
