AUBURN – Roger Sorrells has been named Bowler of the Year by the Lewiston-Auburn United Bowling Congress Association. The award was among many presented at the recent Association Awards Night held at the Fireside Inn in Auburn. Sorrells holds a 223 average.
James Goulding, Jr., was inducted into the local Hall of Fame.
Tom Giberti, Sr., was presented the President’s Award for his support during the Association’s transition period this past year.

Named to the Open Division All-Star Team were: Roger Sorrrells, 223; Paul Roy, Jr., 221; Derek Webb, 221; Steve Harlow, 214; James Goulding III, 213.
The Rising Star Award is given to the male and female bowlers who have shown the most improvement. Kelly Harris earned the honor for the women, plus 22 pins. Scott Langie was the recipient for the men, plus 31.
The 4-person Team Championship Award was given to the Fantastic Four, with members Cathy Bickford, Joan Goulding, Jim Griffin, James Goulding, Jr.
The 5-person Championship Award went to Emerson Toyota, Larry Baldiga, Richard Turner, Terry Freve, Jr., Terry Freve, Sr., David Soule.
