LIVERMORE – Robert and Roberta Allen of Brettun’s Pond in Livermore and Dade City, Fla., recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the home of their daughter, Cindy Gile in Livermore. The dinner was given by their three children, and the wedding cake was made by Brenda LaChapelle of Livermore.

Guests attended from Maine, New Hampshire, North Carolina and Georgia. Earlier this year a party was held by neighbors and friends in Dade City at Traveler’s Rest.

Bob Allen and the former Roberta Lois Boudreau were married on Sept. 8, 1956, in Lynn, Mass.

Mrs. Allen is the daughter of the late Stephen E. and Beatrice Channel Boudreau. A retired pharmacy technician, Mrs. Allen has been a homemaker, Girl Scout leader, Sunday school teacher, classroom volunteer and has partaken in a host of other community service projects. She is a member of the Moose Creek Cloggers, Maine Family Motor Coach Association and Red Hat Society. Together with her husband, Mrs. Allen is a founder of the Frustrated Maestros, Yankee Doodle Dandies for the Maine Wheelers. She enjoys clogging, genealogy, gardening, doll making and travel.

Mr. Allen is the son of the late “Al” E.M. Allen and Winifred Durgin. A former environmental coordinator with AT&T, Mr. Allen enjoys playing a variety of instruments. He continues to play professionally at various establishments in Dade City, Fla., as well as the Carriage House and Lakeshore in Livermore. He has served as code enforcement officer and Planning Board member for the town of Livermore. He and his wife are among the founders of the Frustrated Maestros, Yankee Doodle Dandies Chapter of the Maine Wheels.

The couple has three children, Daniel and his wife, Marianne, and Cindy Gile and her husband, Jim, all of Livermore, and Amy McLaughlin and her husband, Jan, of Stone Mountain, Ga. They have six grandchildren, Michael Beairsto of Fort Benning, Ga., Kristen Beairsto of Lewiston, Caitlin Beairsto of Livermore, Stephen Allen of Orono, Nicholas Allen of Lowell, Mass., and Jonathan DeRuyscher of Charlotte, N.C.
