RUMFORD – The wedding of Jessica Arsenault and Nathan Gurney was held at 2 p.m. on July 29 at St. John’s Church in Rumford.

Mrs. Gurney is the daughter of Lee and Jayne Arsenault of Rumford. Mr. Gurney is the son of Glenn and Deborah Gurney of Dixfield.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white strapless gown. Jessica Allen was maid of honor, and bridesmaids included Jennifer and Kristen Arsenault, sisters of the bride, Allyson Ferguson, Abigail Waleik, Michele Gagnon, Amy Michaud and Nichole Allen. Flower girls were Katherine Dumoulin, cousin of the bride, and Sammara Allen.

Nickolas Gurney, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man, and ushers were Christopher McKenna, Adam Waleik, Joseph Edward Roach, III, Joshua Lamay, Timothy Gill, Daniel Phair and Jeff Bolduc.

A reception followed at the Bethel Inn, after which the couple traveled to Jamaica. They are residing in Readfield.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from St. Joseph College of Maine. She is currently teaching first grade in Sabattus.

The bridegroom received a bachelor’s degree in secondary education and history. He is currently teaching social studies at Lawrence High School in Fairfield.
