LISBON – The wedding of Laurel Blackman and Shane Bean was held at 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 12 at the Lisbon United Methodist Church. The Rev. Julia Wilson officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Bean is the daughter of Edward and Sharon Blackman of Lisbon Falls. Mr. Bean is the son of Scott and Judy bean of Brunswick.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an A-line gown with spaghetti straps with beading on the front, and the back of the gown laced up with satin ribbon and had beading at the bottom of the chapel length train.

Krissy Pomerleau, friend, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Candace Doughty, friend, Katelyn Wye, cousin, Torrie LaRouque, sister-in-law, and Allison Kerl, future sister-in-law.

Eric Carrigan performed the duties of best man for his friend, and ushers were Justin Goranson, friend, Chris Bean and Travis Bean, brothers, and Jeff Blackman, brother-in-law.

A reception followed at the Lewiston Lodge of Elks. The couple is planning a trip to Aruba in December. They are residing in Durham.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Lisbon High School and graduated from cosmetology school in 2004. She is employed at Hair Creations in Bath.

The bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of Mt. Ararat High School and is employed at Champion Glass in Topsham.
