MILWAUKEE, Wisc. – Josephine Lauer and Edward Washuk III were married Sept. 9 at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church. The Rev. Peter Drenzek officiated.

The bride is the daughter of J. Michael and Barbara Lauer of Milwaukee. The bridegroom is the son of Bonnie Washuk-Zaccaro, formerly of Lewiston, and the late Edward Washuk Jr. of Gardiner. He is the step-son of Richard Zaccaro of Portland.

Evelyn Lauer Wilson, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Julie Wenning, cousin of the bride, Danielle Metzler, Susan Barbour, Jolynn Woehrer, Emma Tassaras, Katerina Tassaras and Carolyn Addison.

Charles Washuk, brother of the bridegroom, was the best man. Ushers were Joseph Washuk, brother of the bridegroom, Eric Turgeon, Kevin Golden, Aaron Vachon, Scott Sirois, Will Pasquill and Thomas Carideo.

Flower girls were Sydnie Clark, cousin of the bridegroom, Amanda King, Grace Schuster, Maya Chanan and Marina Aristodemo. Ring bearers were Tanner Clark, cousin of the bridegroom, and Anthony Carmine DeCostello.

The bride wore a couture trumpet-style dress made of silk with a modified sweetheart neckline and carried assorted flowers in shades of white tied with an antique French silk ribbon.

After the ceremony, the couple was led out of the church by a classical trumpet player playing “Trumpet Voluntary” by Clarke. A reception followed, held at the Lake Park Bistro in Milwaukee.

Mrs. Washuk graduated from Dartmouth College. She is the food and beverage coordinator at the Park Hyatt Chicago.

Mr. Washuk graduated from Cony High School and the University of Maine at Orono. He is a an options trader for W.H. Trading Co. at the Chicago Board of Trade.

After a honeymoon to South Africa, the couple is living in Chicago.
