CHESTERVILLE – The North Chesterville Extension Homemakers met on Nov. 14. Discussion focused on the annual Chester Greenwood Festival of Trees to be held in Farmington on Saturday, Dec. 2.

The donated snowpeople ornaments have been dropped off at the Franklin County Extension Office and are ready to be placed on the tree with the other Extension groups’ donations. Next year’s theme has already been chosen. It will involve something with “Gingerbread.”

Election of officers for 2007 took place as follows: President, Susan Gill; vice president, Nancy Griffin; treasurer, Sue Starrett; secretary; Linda Gramlich; and Executive Board representative, Susan Gill.

Program chosen for 2007 include the following: Jan. 9, “Cooking for One or Two, Slow Cookers,” Carol Boynton; Feb. 13, community project, Melissa Knowles; March 13, “Grains for Brains,” Carol Boynton; April 10, planning for the May rummage/bake sale, Linda Gramlich; May 8, planning crafts for the Festival of Trees with a “Gingerbread” theme, with Sue Starrett.

Also, June 12, annual outing; Sept. 11, craft work night, Starrett; Oct. 9, program planning, election of officers and collection of dues, Susan Gill and Starrett; Nov. 13, “Alaska,” Carol Boynton; and Dec. 11, annual Christmas party, Melissa Knowles’ home.
