AUBURN – A Celebration of Life Service for Madison Dillingham was held Monday at the East Auburn Baptist Church with the Rev. Roger Cousineau presiding. The Maine Wing of the Civil Air Patrol Honor Detail began services with a presentation of colors followed by a large contingent of the CAP members at the church in honor of CAP Major Madison P. Dillingham’s service to the Civil Air Patrol. Peter Swan read the first scripture reading, Psalm 121 followed by the song, “Amazing Grace” sung by Madison’s cousin, Lisa Renee. Words of Remembrance were expressed by Madison’s aunts, Gina Ryder and Becky Swan. Seth Roberts introduced a video tribute he produced in honor of his daughter’s life that included photos of Madison’s family and friends that meant so much to her from infancy to college. After a procession from the church to Stevens Mills Cemetery, the Rev. Cousineau recited committal prayers and at the conclusion the Civil Air Patrol Honor Detail played “Taps” followed by presentation of our country’s flag to Tia Roberts, Madison’s mom while a CAP search plane flew over the cemetery as a final tribute to Maddie. CAP pallbearers were, Zach Castonguay, Erick Ribeiro, Anthony Griffin, Cory Higgins, Alex Parks, Kate Knight, Chris McCarthy and Julie Farides. A reception of fellowship then followed back at the East Auburn Baptist Church Hall. Arrangements by Dillingham & Son Memorial Chapel & Tribute Center.
