LEWISTON – Advocates for Children will offer a “1,2,3,4 Parents!” workshop from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays, Dec. 5 to 19.

The class is a three-week interactive learning experience for parents of young children, ages 1 through 4. It will features video presentations, discussion, workbook activities and group activities.

Participants will learn the importance of the parents’ self-esteem, the value of the child and the job of parenting, the basic developmental stages, methods of bonding, non-violent discipline skills, encouragement skills and prevention techniques (such as childproofing a home).

There is a fee of $10.95 for the required parent handbook. Childcare will be provided. To register, call AFC at 783-3990. Advocates for Children is a participating United Way agency.
