AUBURN – Arthur N. Maheux, 70, of 7 Russell St., Lewiston, died Friday, Nov. 24, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.

He was born in Lewiston, Sept. 11, 1936, the son of Donozar and Ida Girouard Maheux. He was educated in local schools and served in the Maine National Guard for several years. Prior to his retirement, he was employed many years at Philip Elmet Corp.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his camp at Moosehead Lake. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 106 in Lewiston, and could be seen there almost daily shooting a game of pool with his friends.

He will surely be missed by his many friends from Edward’s Restaurant. His weekly visits for the past 25 years created a bonding with them. They loved him and looked forward to his jokes and everyday teasing. He loved the Labor Day get-together at camp with his niece, nephew, children and all their friends who called him Uncle Titi. All we had to say is, Paul was cooking and he’d be there.

He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Maheux of Oxford; a son, Kirk Maheux, and his wife, Jaimie, of Lewiston; seven grandchildren; a sister, Theresa Duchesne of Sarasota, Fla.; and a brother, Roger Maheux, and his wife, Theresa, of Auburn.

He was predeceased by his father; mother; and brother-in-law, Rene Duchesne.
