NASHUA, N.H. (AP) – Police say a registered sex offender went on the prowl for young girls in Nashua, right after getting out of jail.
Police have charged Daniel Mullane, 63, with attempting to endanger the welfare of a child. Investigators say he was trying to pick up teen girls on Main Street in Nashua by posing as a modeling agency scout.
According to court papers, police say Mullane told detectives he hoped to lure girls to his home for sex. Police say they identified one victim, a 13-year-old Nashua girl.
Police say Mullane had been released from jail two weeks before his arrest after serving a year for failing to register as a sex offender at his previous home in Manchester. Previously, he was convicted for sexual assault and kidnapping a minor in Massachusetts.
