Potluck supper

HARTFORD – A community good will potluck supper will be held at 6 tonight, at the town hall, 1190 Main St. A door prize will be drawn at 7 p.m. There is no admission fee, however those attending are asked to bring a dish. Wreaths available

NORWAY – The Progress Center on Cottage Street has been making wreaths for the holiday season. They are available for purchase. The 14-inch wreaths are $8 undecorated and $10 decorated; 16-inch wreaths, $10 undecorated and $13 decorated; and the 18-inch wreaths, $12 undecorated and $17 decorated.

The wreaths may be ordered by calling Stacy Blaquiere or Julie Ibehadi at the Progress Center, 743-8049. All proceeds will benefit the consumer activity fund.

Christmas sale

Christmas concert

OTISFIELD – The ninth annual Christmas concert with guests Phil House and Bill Eldridge will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, at the 1834 Meeting House on Megquier Hill Road. The Highland Cemetery trustees are hosting the concert. Donations will be accepted at the door. All proceeds will benefit the upkeep and grounds of the meeting house and adjoining cemetery.

Holiday spirit

HEBRON – A holiday spirit boutique will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Hebron Station School, 884 Station Road. There will be new and used items, baked goods and trinkets. Proceeds will benefit the Depot, the after-school enrichment program.

Trees for sale

PARIS – A Christmas tree sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at the First Baptist Church of Paris Hill.

Holiday dinner

OTISFIELD – The annual holiday dinner will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Otisfield Community School.

The menu will be a traditional turkey dinner with all the fixings and pie. The school chorus and instrumentalists will provide sounds of the season. Funds raised from the dinner will be used for field trips.

The annual Lisa Bean Thurston Memorial Christmas tree lighting will be at 7 p.m. and children may visit with Santa. Lights may be purchased in memory or in honor of loved ones for $2.50 each. Money raised goes toward the Otisfield scholarship fund.

Trees available

GORHAM, N.H. – Christmas trees from the White Mountain National Forest can be cut down for a family Christmas. A Christmas tree permit can be purchased for $5 from offices located in Bethlehem, Holderness, Gorham and Conway.

Several types of evergreen grow in the White Mountain National Forest. Trees are for personal use only. Each family may cut one tree per permit and use only hand tools. For more information, call 603-528-8796.
