FREEPORT – The wedding of Catherine Laing-Belmonte and Scott Patrick Goodenow was held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 21 at Winslow Park Campground in Freeport. Ann Goodenow officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Peter and Maureen Laing of Bethany, Conn. The bridegroom is the son of Kenneth and Judith Goodenow of Freeport.
The bride, given in marriage by her son, Matthew Belmonte, wore a two-piece white gown with silver and gold embroidery throughout. She carried a bouquet of blue flushia and cream colored roses and ferns.
Elizabeth Belmonte, daughter of the bride, attended as maid of honor, and Clinton Goodenow, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Josh Broadwater, a good friend, was the ring bearer.
A reception followed at the Left Hand Club in Lisbon. The couple is planning a honeymoon in the spring.
The bride is a graduate of Amity Regional High School in Woodbridge, Conn., and is employed at the Forecaster in Falmouth.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Freeport High School in Freeport and is employed at Gillis and Prittle Lumber Co. in Scarborough.
