FALMOUTH – The wedding of Judith Lynn VanSteemburg and Jamie William Dickson was held at 2 p.m. on Aug. 26 at Holy Martyrs Church in Falmouth. Msgr. Charles Murphy officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Dickson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Capozza of Windham. Mr. Dickson is the son of Peggy Dickson of Dixfield and the late William H. Dickson Jr.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Holly Schiavoni was maid of honor for her best friend, and Caroline Probert was matron of honor for her sister. Bridesmaids were Carrie Bresnahan and Kelly Riechers, cousins, Jennifer VanOrman, friend, and Kayla Poor, Tashia Harris and Emily VanSteemburg, nieces. Flower fairies were Sara VanSteemburg, Susan VanSteemburg, Skylar VanSteemburg and Isabella and Adelaide Probert, all nieces.
Jay Merrill performed the duties of best man for his best friend and ushers were Timothy Wright, friend, Matthew Riechers, cousin of the bride, and David Gallant, cousin. Ring bearer was Matthew Probert, godson of the bride.
A reception followed at the Woodlands in Falmouth. The couple is planning a honeymoon to Ocho Rios in Jamaica in January. They are residing in Portland.
The bride is a 1997 graduate of Catherine McAuley High School in Portland and plans to graduate in May as a registered nurse from Southern Maine Community College. She is employed as a surgical assistant at Oral Surgery Associates in South Portland.
The bridegroom is a 1996 graduate of Dirigo High School and received a degree in computer science from Southern Maine Technical College. He is employed as network administrator at Bernstein Shur in Portland.
