DAR to meet

LISBON FALLS – Regent Sheila Desgrosseilliers announces that the Burnt Meadow Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will meet at noon Saturday, Dec. 9, at the home of Jayne Bickford. The annual Christmas dinner will be served followed by sharing of Christmas traditions and exchange of gifts.

Advent service

AUBURN – The Young at Heart Fellowship will meet at noon Tuesday, Dec. 12, at the Court Street Baptist Church to attend the Advent service at the church. A luncheon will follow in the vestry.

President Winston Greaton will conduct a business meeting after the luncheon. The program will be presented by Charles Marshall, a well known musician from Auburn. He will entertain on the piano with music of the season.

Members are asked to bring a gift to exchange. There will be no door prize this month because of the gift exchange, but it will be resumed at the January meeting. All senior citizens are invited.

Family workshop

LISBON FALLS – Lisbon Adult Education will offer a family holiday decoration workshop from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 13. The workshop will be appropriate for children ages 4 and up, accompanied by an adult.

Participants will learn how to make ornaments and decorations. Cocoa and cookies will be provided. The cost is $5 a child. Call 353-3037 to register. Advanced registration is required.
