SABATTUS – Sabattus Senior Citizens met recently with 138 members in attendance. The blessing before the meal was given by the Rev. Robert Parent of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. After a lunch of turkey and all the fixings served by Betty Dutil and crew, President Stan Pelletier called the meeting to order with a prayer and pledge of allegiance.

The birthday list was read and the “Birthday Song” was sung. The end-of-year financial report was read by Treasurer Pauline Gemme and was approved by the members. Dues for 2007 are due.

Trip Coordinator Jean Doyon still has seats for the Indian Head trip on Tuesday, Nov. 28, for $56. Call her at 784-5264 for more information.

The drawing of the 50/50 for $48 was won by Yvonne Vachon. Door prizes were also awarded, after which beano was played.

The Thursday, Dec. 7, Christmas dinner will be held at the C and J Hall, 711 Webster St., Lewiston. The menu will be roast pork with all the fixings, desserts and beverages for $5, prepared by Doris Pelletier and crew. Those who would like to attend should call Bob at 783-6955.
