Seniors dinner

MONMOUTH – The Golden Age Club will hold a Christmas dinner at the usual meeting place, Packard Activity Center, United Church basement, on Wednesday, Dec. 6. Volunteers are roasting turkeys and others are bringing the fixings. If anyone hasn’t already signed up, they should call Marilyn Perry at 933-4279 for side dishes or desserts or call Wes and Bertha Johnson at 933-2228.

Rescheduled

HEBRON – Nancy Marshall, who was to have spoken on Wednesday, Dec. 6, as part of the Entrepreneurship Program at Hebron Academy, has rescheduled her visit to January, date to be announced.

Kiwanis speaker

LEWISTON – The Auburn Lewiston Kiwanis Club will welcome Nate Humphrey of the Auburn/Lewiston airport as speaker at noon Wednesday, Dec. 6, at the Ramada Inn Conference Center. Also attending will be the Division 4 Lt. Gov. Lynn Taylor from the Rockland Kiwanis Club.

The club recently assisted the Salvation Army with its holiday bell ringing and provided a craft table and bicycle raffle for the Holiday Festival of Advocates for Children.

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. All are welcome to join the club.

Seeks volunteers

LEWISTON – St. Mary’s Lifeline Program is looking for volunteers to help install units and provide simple service for people who rely on the Lifeline Program to feel safe in their homes. The program reimburses mileage and expenses for service and installation calls.

Bridge results

NEW GLOUCESTER – New Gloucester Duplicate Bridge Club met Dec. 3 in the Masonic Building. A three-table Howell movement was played.

Finishing first in Flight A were Martine Begert and Rosemarie Goodwin; second, Linda Leotsakos and Audrey Burns, first in Flight B; second in Flight B, Sally Johnston and Pat Schlegel.

There will be another game on Sunday, Dec. 10. All bridge players are invited, and a partner is guaranteed. For information, call Les Buzzell at 783-4153.
