Norway – Beverly Jean Sears, 67, of Otisfield, died Monday, Dec. 4, at Stephens Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Merrimack, N.H., on Jan. 21, 1939, the daughter of William and Helen A. Hall Bushong. She grew up in California and graduated from Vallejo High School in Vallejo, Calif. She was employed at Kaiser Permanente for almost 20 years.

She moved to Framingham, Mass., in the late 1970s then to Maine in 1992. She had been employed at Stephens Memorial Hospital for a number of years. She was active in Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church, the Ladies Guild and the library in Bolsters Mills, as well as other activities in the village. She was an avid crafter.

She is survived by her partner, Karen Turino of Otisfield; a son, David Sears of Oxford; sisters, Joyce Bartlett, and her husband, Duane, of Worthington, Mass., Cindy Newton of Norway and Helen Bushong, and her partner, Carol Barker, of Harrison; a brother, Bill Bushong, and his wife, Anne Marie, of Clancy, Mont.; grandchildren, Erika Cabrera, Angie Marie Sears and David Daniel Sears, all of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents.
