There’s an incredible amount of genius in the Farmington area. When you’re tripping over talent, it’s hard for anyone to stand out. But there’s one station around there that picks the soundtrack to our lives, that’s run by bona-fide geniuses. Baroque music lowers blood pressure. While other stations are force feeding their listeners pablum, this one plays Bob Dylan, The Four Tops and Paul Simon.
Talk about having the pulse of the nation: before election results were in, this station was playing “War” by Edwin Starr.
Beethoven had a genius for composition, an exact note following an exact note, perfection to the smallest scale. This station’s talent is having the precise song following the perfect song, which is music on a larger scale. If listening to CDs, you find some songs don’t belong following others, turn on the radio.
Life is the song. Sing it.
