Most Americans belong to some form of Christianity. In the L-A community, almost everyone is, or was, a Christian. But grinches and Scrooges are trying to steal Christmas. For example, my wife and I were inside a local merchant recently when we were wished “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
Since most of us share some form of Christianity, why don’t we stop this silliness and identify ourselves, not as grinches or Scrooges or anything else politically correct, but as Christians? Why don’t we wish each other a blessed or merry Christmas at this time of year – the time when, 2,000 years ago, Jesus was born?
In our opinion, it is better to be who you are than who you are not.
