This is in response to the stories about the landlord-tenant dispute on Oxford Street in Lewiston. Does anyone really believe that the landlord rented those units in the condition pictured in the photos?
I believe the tenants destroyed those units. The destroyed blinds and rags in that window wouldn’t be in that condition if that woman had any pride. Instead of buying cigarettes, she could have bought something nice to put in those windows.
The article the next day said that trash was not in that hallway when those units were rented. The landlord had the right idea not to have the furnace repaired.
The tenants hung themselves by not paying the rent; that way the landlord did not have to go to court to evict them.
