LEWISTON – The city council approved to accept funds from the sale of a 2003 Chevy Suburban, following the arrest of Angela Sargent. Although arrested, Sargent’s vehicle was returned to her because of money owed on it. Paperwork noting the return of the vehicle was not provided to the police department or city hall. The paperwork is pending. Once it’s received, the city council will vote to reverse their decision. The item appeared as part of the City Council’s January schedule published on Thursday’s B1 of the City edition. It was incorrectly submitted to the Sun Journal.
