Canton – Lucile S. Adams, 83, a resident of Adams Road in Hartford, passed away Friday, Dec. 8, at the Victorian Villa Nursing Home, where she had resided for one year.
She was born on Aug. 1, 1923, in Livermore, the daughter of Arthur and Marjorie (Coventry) Sanders. She attended schools in Leeds and was a graduate of Leavitt Institute.
On Oct. 5, 1947, she married Philip E. Adams in Lewiston. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper at Pratt-Whitney in Connecticut, and also managed the family business in Hartford.
She is survived by her husband, Philip E. Adams of Hartford; a daughter, Marjorie Rand, and her husband, Ken, of Turner; a brother, William Sanders, and his wife, Louise, of Leeds; two grandchildren, Taryn and Karrie Rand; a great-granddaughter, Hailie Rand.
She was predeceased by a brother, Richard Sanders; and a sister, Marion Dixon.
