WHITEFIELD – Hubert Knox Potter, 75, of Whitefield, passed away unexpectedly at MaineGeneral Medical Center, Augusta, on Friday, Dec. 8. Many immediate family members were able to be by his side when he left us for his next “road trip” to rejoin his parents, brothers and sisters.

Hubert, born April 24, 1931, in Mt. Vernon, was the youngest son of Woodford J. and L. Marie (Cole) Potter. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He is survived by his wife, Irene; daughter, Tonya Ballard and her husband, Thomas; son, Dorian Potter; step-son, Wayne Whitman and his wife, Maureen; grandchildren, Michael and Meghan Ballard, and Laura, Jacob, Samuel and Hannah Whitman; brother, Loren “Buster” Potter; many nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Miriam, Evelyn and Midge.
