READFIELD – The Medomak Valley girls’ basketball team raced out to a 30-17 halftime lead and continued to cruise to a 49-32 victory over Maranacook Saturday.

Ten different players entered the scorebook for the Panthers led by Stephanie Lee’s 11 points, with Miranda Conary adding eight. Alyssa Neptune led Maranacook with nine points.

Hebron 30, Gould 16

BETHEL – Sara Powers hit five field goals for 10 points to lead Hebron to a 30-16 triumph over Gould in girls’ basketball action Saturday.

The Lumberjacks (2-0) outpaced the Huskies (1-1) in each quarter, taking eight- and six-point advantages in the opening and closing frames. Kainani Stevens collected a pair of field goals and three baskets from the charity stripe.

Kate Roberti paced Gould with six points.

Jay 43, Hall-Dale 36

JAY-Kaylie DeMillo posted a game-high 23 points, including four 3-pointers, as Jay downed Hall-Dale 43-36 in Saturday girls’ basketball.

Leading by one entering the fourth quarter, DeMillo and Liz LeBlanc combined for 11 points as the Tigers (1-0) outscored the Bulldogs 12-6 to secure the win. LeBlanc finished the game with 10 points.

Katie Frett led the Bulldogs (0-1) with nine points.
