AUBURN – Chapter Martel, Association Canado Americaine, will gather for a meal and Christmas celebration at noon today at Rolandeau’s Restaurant, 775 Washington St.

President Cecile Paradis is hoping members will attend the celebration.

Club Richelieu

AUBURN – Club Richelieu, local chapter of Unique International Fraternal French Society, will hold a holiday gathering on Wednesday, Dec. 13, at Rolandeau’s Restaurant, 775 Washington St.

Mario Gendron will emcee the traditional Chinese auction gift exchange. Club President Daniel Isabel has invited members and guests.

Grange program

AUBURN – Members of Danville Junction Grange will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, when a Christmas program will be presented, followed by the business meeting. State Master Steven Verrill will be present to perform the Obligation Ceremony on several new candidates.

Refreshments will be served at the close of the meeting. Members are reminded to bring a wrapped game, book or toy for donation to the Salvation Army. All members and guests are welcome.

Holiday program

AUBURN – Robin Dow Senior Citizens will have the annual Christmas celebration and dinner at the Ramada Inn on Wednesday, Dec. 13. Doors will open at 11 a.m. A musical program will be presented by the Silvertones.

Sixty-five members attended a Thanksgiving dinner at the Auburn United Methodist Church on Nov. 8. Chaplain Pat Donohue gave the opening prayer, and musical entertainment was provided by Ralph Lashua. Pot of gold winners were Evelyn Rose, Charlotte Grant, Beverly Lashua, Adele Delmonico, Shirley Huntley, Merry Strout, Ann Edwards, Lucy Cowles and Felix Yurkston.

Club to install

SABATTUS – The Lewiston-Auburn Kennel Club will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, at the Sabattus Town Hall meeting room. Finalization of bylaws and installation of officers will precede a potluck supper.

Musical service

AUBURN – The Sixth Street Congregational Church will present a musical service by the Mid Coast Symphony Brass Quintet at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 17. Music will include a blend traditional carols and orchestral excerpts arranged in medleys specially for brass quintets.

Members of the Mid Coast Symphony Brass Quintet are Martin Jones and Doug Fair of trumpet; Margie Landis, French horn; Bruce Theriault, trombone; and Seth Morton, tuba. The public is welcome.

Notes 100

TURNER – Juliette Lemay turned 100 on Thanksgiving Day. She has three daughters, Gisele Gagnon, Dorothy Lajoie and Georgette Heller. An open house was held at Mrs. Lajoie’s home in Turner. She received many gifts and cards, including one from President Bush. Everyone brought a balloon.
