ORONO – Senior Forward Josh Soares was named the CCM/RBK Hockey Player of the Week. Soares had three goals, including two short-handed tallies, and added an assist as Maine defeated Northeastern, 7-1, on Saturday night.
Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
GORHAM – Senior forward Ashley Marble was named the LEC and MWBCA Player of the Week. Marble averaged a double-double in two wins for the University of Southern Maine, recording 22.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game.
Wrestling Rookie of the Week
GORHAM – Freshman Pat Hogan has been named the Pilgrim League Wrestling League Rookie of the Week. Hogan won both of his bouts to lead the University of Southern Maine to a split in a pair of dual meets on Saturday.
