LOWELL, Mass. – Frank E. Maliar Jr., 80, died Friday, Dec. 1, at the Northwood Nursing Home.

He was born Aug. 25, 1926, in Lewiston, son of the late Frank Sr. and Mildred (Smith) Maliar. He owned and operated the Kenmore Hotel.

He is survived by a brother, William, and wife, Eva, of Merrimack, Mass.

He was predeceased by his parents; two sisters, Rita and Jayne Maliar; and a son, Frank E. Maliar III, who died Sept. 4.
