TURNER – Louise M. Voter, 85, of Turner, formerly of Peru, died late Sunday, Dec. 10, at her son’s home in Turner, where she had been living.

She was born, Jan. 28, 1921, in Auburn, a daughter of Jesse Omer and Ethel (Priest) Abbott. She was raised in Auburn and attended Edward Little High School.

On June 24, 1967, she married, Virgal L. Voter in Turner Village. He died on April 6, 2002. They made their home in Peru and loved dancing, which they did every Saturday night.

She was a homemaker to her family and enjoyed making various crafts. She was a former member of the Rebekahs in Turner.

She is survived by three sons, Omer Pulkkinen, and his wife, Gayla, of South Paris, Bruce Pulkkinen, and his wife, Rosie, of Auburn and Dwinal Pulkkinen, and his wife, Martha, of Turner; two daughters, Patricia Jordan, and her husband, Edwin Jr., of Turner and Olga Iwans, and her husband, Donald, of Norway; two stepdaughters, Brenda Dodd of Florida and Melinda Hoisington of Poland; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Oiva Pulkkinen in 1958; brothers and sisters, Jesse, Myrtle, Cecil and Alice.
