RUMFORD – A Reception of the Body for the Rev. Richard W. McInnis was celebrated on Friday, Dec. 8, by the Rev. Norman Carpentier and the Rev. Alfred Jacques at St. Athanasius-St. John Church, Rumford. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday, Dec. 9, at St. Athanasius-St. John Church, Rumford, with Bishop Richard Malone, Bishop Joseph Geary, the Rev. Alfred Jacques and Msgr. Mark Caron as celebrants. Organist was Mark Belanger. Readings were given by Anna Justard and Alexa Kaubris. Eulogy was given by the Rev. Jacques. Music selections included “Jesus,” “Danny Boy” and “Ave Maria.” Pallbearers were from Fr. Ambrose J. Barry Council 2091, Knights of Columbus Jeremy Myles, Richard Shea, Reginald Arsenault, John Wolfe, Arthur Rouleau and Steve Garcia. Honorary bearers from the Knights of Columbus were Tony Poirier, Rod Kuhl, Fern Dumoulin and Robert Dube. Delegation from St. Timothy Circle 504, Daughters of Isabella were Mary Buccina, Billie Koris, Millie Harlow, Lorraine Barry, Pat Arsenault, Dru Breton, Pat Hopkins, Myrtle McKenna, Gladys Gilbert, Pearl Murphy, Arita Zitoli, Betty Dumoulin, Pauline Buckingham, Florence Boucher, Margaret Elliott, Dot Benedix, Angie Arsenault, Celia Arsenault, Lillian Poirier, Frances Miller and Sylvina Mahar. Committal services were conducted by Bishop Richard Malone and the Rev. Jacques. Interment was in St. John Cemetery, Rumford. A reception followed at the parish hall of St. Athanasius-St. John Church, Rumford. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader & Son Funeral Home.
