Grange meeting

POLAND – Excelsior Grange will meet at the hall on Harris Hill Road at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16. Following the meeting, Christmas baskets for shut-ins will be filled. Members are reminded to bring nonperishable food items and other suitable gifts for the project. Refreshments will be available and all members and guests are welcome.

Lodge program

AUBURN – Liberty Rebekah Lodge 94 will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at the meeting room of the Grand Lodge, IOOF, 80 Caron Lane. Noble Grand Doreen Locke has asked all the members to wear festive dress clothes and bring festive snacks and a $5 gift for the Chinese auction. A business meeting will follow the festivities at 7 p.m.

Seniors trip

LEWISTON – The Lewiston Seniors are organizing a trip to Daytona Beach, Fla., from Feb. 17 to March 4 in conjunction with Yankee Line from Boston. They will stay in a condo, Ocean Walk Resort, on the beach. There will be optional tours to St. Augustine, Epcot, Sea World, Universal Studios, Cape Canaveral, plays and concerts.

Church events

AUBURN – St. Louis Church, Third Street, New Auburn. will have a Stocking Stuffer Shopping Corner, Raffles and a crepe breakfast on the weekend.

The Shopping Corner will be open and there will be raffles an hour before and after 4 p.m. Mass on Saturday, Dec. 16. A crepe breakfast will be served from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 17. Cost will be $4 for adults; $2, under 12. The Shopping Corner and raffles will continue with drawings at 10:30.

Look good

LEWISTON – “Look Good … Feel Better,” the American Cancer Society’s program for assisting women who are faced with appearance changes resulting from cancer treatment, will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Dec. 20, at Central Maine Medical Center’s Sam and Jennie Bennett Breast Care Center, 12 High St., Suite 103.

Seniors dinner

AUBURN – The First Auburn Senior Citizens will meet Wednesday, Dec. 20, at the Martindale Country Club for a Christmas dinner. The doors will open at 11 a.m. Entertainment will be Ron Niggle at the keyboard.

The club met at Hasty Community Center on Dec. 6 with 62 present. Vice President Shirley Hawkins presided. Attendance winners were Joan Dechene and Judy Agnew; pot of gold winners, Doris Michael, Ralph Lashua and Ginny Gagnon. Bingo was played after lunch.
