NORWAY – The Hillsmen are planning their second annual “You Can Sing Too” voice training seminar. The Hillsmen are the local chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. They sing four-part harmony barbershop style music, which includes old-time classics and contemporary tunes.
The group wants to grow its membership and is offering voice training for anyone interested in sharpening their singing skills. The training is free; however, there is a one time fee of $10 for CDs and sheet music. It is not necessary to be familiar with reading sheet music.
The training will be held downstairs at St. Catherine’s Church each Monday for four consecutive weeks. Classes will begin at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, with a inclement weather date of Jan. 29. The group will welcome any male from high school age up.
