I want to thank Dr. and Mrs. Jamie Loggins and their family for sharing their talents and generosity with the city of Auburn and everyone who views their spectacular display. I welcome the Loggins to Auburn, and hope they remain here for many years to come.

I ask their forgiveness for the ignorant and ill-mannered among us. I might say “It’s a sign of the times,” except that times are no excuse for the kind of behaviors displayed on Vista Drive. Shame on all of those who have lost or never had good manners or consideration for others.

I sincerely hope the Loggins can tuck away in their hearts how much the majority of us appreciate all they’ve done to brighten our holiday season.
