LEWISTON – The Maine High School Bowling League has begun the 2006-2007 season with 19 teams.
Entered in the Southern Division are Lewiston, Edward Little, Monmouth, Wiscasset and Cony.
In opening matches at Spare-Time Rec, Lewiston defeated Cony 14-5, and Monmouth topped Wiscasset 11-8. ELHS was idle. Philip Provencher paced the Lewiston boys with a 245 game, a 462 series, and a 231 average. Sarah Pelletier paced the Devil girls with a 462 series and a 198.5 average. Erica Rollins of Cony rolled a 235 game.
A total of 14 teams comprise the Northern Division.
